The agreement.
Creating a PaidProof account means you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you sign up on behalf of a studio, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.
The service.
PaidProof is a payment-protection layer for freelancers: click-to-sign contracts, file delivery gate, auto-PDF dispute kit. The cap and feature list on /pricing describes the current plan. We change features over time; we won’t silently strip something material from a plan you’re paying for.
Trial and billing.
The trial is 14 days, no card required. After that, paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record — they handle the card, the invoice, and the local sales tax. The first charge happens when you upgrade, then on the same calendar day each month. Cancel any time from Settings and access continues to the end of the paid period.
Refunds.
30 days, no questions. Mail support@paidproof.app with the order number and you’ll have a refund and a confirmation by end of next business day. Refunds happen even if the product works fine and you just changed your mind. Outside that window, write anyway — we read everything and refund a lot of things that don’t strictly qualify.
What PaidProof does NOT promise.
PaidProof is an evidence-collection tool, not a chargeback insurance product. We cannot and do not guarantee that any dispute you submit using the dispute kit will be decided in your favour. Banks make those decisions; PaidProof gives you the evidence package most banks ask for. See Disclaimer.
Acceptable use.
You agree not to:
- —Use PaidProof to gate or withhold work for a client who already paid or who has a contractual right to delivery.
- —Forge contract signatures, IP logs, or signing timestamps. The trigger blocks edits to signed rows; tampering before signature is still fraud.
- —Upload contract or client data you don’t have a lawful basis to process.
- —Scrape, reverse-engineer, or rate-limit-evade the product.
- —Resell, sublicense, or repackage PaidProof as your own product.
- —Store anything that requires a regulated framework we haven’t signed up to (PCI cardholder data, US healthcare PHI, classified material).
Breach of any of these is grounds for immediate suspension. We’ll mail you first if there’s any reasonable interpretation under which you weren’t breaching.
Your data.
Our IP.
PaidProof, the brand, the code, and the design are ours. Nothing in these terms grants you a licence beyond the right to use the hosted product while subscribed.
Uptime and changes.
We aim for high availability but don’t carry an uptime SLA at this price. If a long outage costs you a month of value, mail support@paidproof.appand we’ll credit the month. We may change the product, pricing, or these terms; material changes are emailed at least 30 days ahead and you may cancel before they take effect.
Liability.
PaidProof is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by Polish and EU law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost chargebacks, lost projects, or lost client relationships, beyond that cap. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can’t lawfully be limited.
Termination.
You may close your workspace at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach 06 — Acceptable use or that fail payment for more than 30 days, after a written notice and a chance to cure.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the law of Poland. Disputes are resolved in the competent Polish courts. EU consumers keep their mandatory consumer-protection rights; nothing here overrides them.
